Sangiovese

Sangiovese is a red grape variety originating from Tuscany. It is particularly present in central Italy and represents 10% of the country's total vine stock! Its name, of Latin origin, means "the blood of Jupiter", which gives an idea of the esteem in which our ancestors held this variety. And with good reason! It is the main grape variety of the famous Chianti, for which Italian wines are famous.
